Bárbara is a lawyer in the firm's Tax Law area, with extensive experience in resolving tax disputes and tax litigation - both in the judicial/arbitral and administrative phases - as well as monitoring tax inspections, representing a significant number of national and multinational companies.
In addition to tax litigation, Bárbara also provides tax advice on direct and indirect taxes to companies in various sectors of activity, including energy, telecommunications, retail, modern distribution, banking and insurance.
Bárbara also has international experience, with a special focus on tax planning, double taxation and import and export customs procedures, in jurisdictions such as Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde, where she has had the opportunity to monitor the implementation and development of major projects.
Before joining MFA, Bárbara worked for the last eight years with Vieira de Almeida e Associados in the tax practice area, having previously worked for Miranda and Eduardo Paz Ferreira e Associados.
